Colin Bowen, MBA, GRI |
Colin Bowen earned an MBA - Management Specialization, with Honors; a Graduate Certificate in Human Resources; and a BA in Organizational Leadership, cum laude, from St. Thomas University in Miami, Florida. He also received an AS in Aviation Administration (Highest Honors) and an AA (Highest Honors) from Miami Dade College.
His business experience spans three countries and differing cultures with Operations, Customer Service, Management, and Training experience from Belize Airways, Cayman Airways, Executive Air, and a training stint from Air Canada. Import/Export, Supervisory, Accounting, and Policy Management experience came from Cayman Wines & Spirits, Executive Air, and Coca-Cola. Additional Financial and Planning experience comes from working as a Graduate of the Realtor Institute and a Licensed Mortgage Broker. As a previous business owner with an entrepreneurial spirit, he has a demonstrated ability to run a startup operation.
Colin has done consulting work for the Inter American Press Association, and has assisted with the compilation of some published works. He is an avid aviation enthusiast holding pilot's licenses from 3 countries, and has been a computer aficionado early on. He maintains memberships in several professional organizations, and enjoys being a presenter for the AOPA Air Safety Foundation seminars.
Prior to the University of Miami, Colin's teaching experiences include Miami Dade College and City College. He has taught numerous business and computer technology courses at the college level.

Dickie K. Davis |
Ms. Davis holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications from the University of South Florida. She began her career with Miami-Dade County in 1973, working briefly in the County’s budget office before accepting a leadership position at Miami International Airport (MIA) for the Miami-Dade Aviation Department. At MIA, she earned a series of promotions in public affairs and operations, before accepting her current position as Director of Terminal Operations and Customer Service. She holds the distinction of being the first woman promoted to a management position in operations at MIA, a rarity for women executives in the early 1980s.
At MIA, Ms. Davis has been an advocate for travelers with disabilities. She started the Department’s ADA advisory task force over twenty years ago—long before the Americans with Disabilities Act was signed into legislation in 1990. She has received recognition and honors for her advocacy for disabled passengers.
As Director of Terminal Operations and Customer Service at MIA, Ms. Davis manages a large staff and a multi-million dollar operating budget. She manages all MIA’s terminals, over five million square feet. She is also the project manager for janitorial and skycap contracts totaling over $34M annually.
In addition to her Operations responsibilities, Ms. Davis is MIA’s Director of Customer Service. She has crafted numerous customer service innovations such as a partnership between Miami International and the renowned Disney Institute to train over 400 Aviation Department public contact staff, as well as public contact staff from MIA’s airlines, concessions and federal agencies. MIA is the first U.S. airport to enter into such an agreement.
During her tenure with the Aviation Department, Ms. Davis has distinguished herself as a highly effective leader who has crafted innovations and initiatives with a keen focus on operations and customer service excellence.

Marie-Line Germain, Ph.D |
Dr. Marie-Line Germain is an assistant professor in the Cassidy School of Leadership at St. Thomas University in Miami, Florida. In 2006, she was the recipient of the Malcolm S. Knowles Ph.D. Dissertation of the Year award from the Academy of Human Resource Development. Recently, she was awarded 3 national, competitive grants, one of which to validate her psychometric measure of managerial expertise (G.E.M.) in China, France, the Netherlands, and in the U.S.
She is the author of numerous national and international conference research papers, a referred journal article and a book chapter. She is a review board member for the Journal of International Business Studies and for Career Development International. She is a member of APA, SIOP, AHRD, EAM, AERA, and SMA (from which she has received 4 best reviewer awards). Germain has also been the recipient of 4 teaching awards. Her research interests include industrial psychology, leadership, and the concept of 'human expertise'.
