Simply stated, our policy is to collect no personally identifiable information about you when you visit our website unless you actively choose to make such information available to us. Refunds/Cancellations

Written notification of course cancellation must be received 3 or more days before the class start date to receive a 100% tuition refund. Cancellations received within 72 hours (3 days) of the course start date are eligible to receive a 75% tuition refund. No refunds will be given for cancellations on or after the first day of class. The University of Miami reserves the right to cancel or reschedule any program with insufficient enrollment or for reasons beyond our control. In any such case, a full refund of fees and deposits will be made. Before a refund check can be issued, verification of your payment, confirmation of the pertaining records and administrative review and approval must be completed. While we expedite your request, please allow a minimum of 45 days for receipt.

Cancelaciones y Devoluciones

Para recibir una devolución del 100%, la cancelación debe ser hecha por escrito y recibida no menos de 3 días antes del comienzo del curso. Cancelaciones recibidas dentro de los 3 días (72 horas) antes del comienzo del curso, recibirán una devolución del 75%. Cancelaciones recibidas el primer día del curso o después del comienzo del mismo, no recibirán devolución. La Universidad de Miami se reserva el derecho de cancelar o cambiar el horario de un curso por falta de estudiantes u otras circunstancias que no estén bajo su control. Antes de poder procesar una devolución, tenemos que verificar su pago, confirmar todo lo pertinente a su matrícula y ser aprobado por la administración. Por favor permítanos un mínimo de 45 días después de que se haya pedido la devolución para que el proceso se lleve acabo. Los estudiantes extranjeros deberán confirmar la disponibilidad de los programas, antes de hacer sus arreglos de viaje.

Exclusions

The University of Miami reserves the right to change any provision or requirement, including fees, at any time, with or without notice. Degrees, courses, programs, activities, and academic or nonacademic offerings of UM may also be changed from time to time without notice. The university reserves the right to require a student to withdraw at any time under appropriate procedure. Further, admission of a student to the University of Miami for a semester does not imply that the student will be enrolled in any succeeding academic semester. The university also reserves the right to propose probation on any student whose conduct is unsatisfactory. Any admission on the basis of false statements or documents is void when the fraud is discovered, and the student is not entitled to any credit for work completed at the university. When a student is dismissed or suspended from the university for cause, there will be no refund of tuition and fees paid. If a dismissed student has paid only a part of his/her tuition and fees, the balance due the university will be considered a receivable and will be collected.

Immunization Requirements

All new students who are seeking undergraduate or graduate credit from the University of Miami are required to provide proof of immunization against measles and rubella, and all international students are required to submit proof of a tuberculosis (TB) test at least 12 months before registration. New students are encouraged to comply with these requirements before starting classes and will receive an immunization form with other information from the Health Center.
