The University of Miami Paralegal Program is an intensive, comprehensive certificate program. It is unique from most other programs because it concentrates only on those skills needed to become a professional working paralegal. UM’s Paralegal Studies is a non-credit certificate program offered in a four month course on the Coral Gables campus and also in down town Miami, Ft. Lauderdale and Tampa.
The program is available in day, evening and weekend schedules but all offer identical curriculum and exams:
Coral Gables Day Program:
- The program lasts about 4 months (68 classroom hours, 204 lab hours - 272 hours total)
- Classes meet from 9am - 11am. each Tuesday and Thursday for four hours in theday per week
- Students are expected to spend a minimum of 12 hours per week working on-line outside the classroom
- Successful graduates receive a beautifully framed University of Miami Paralegal Certificate
Coral Gables Evening Program:
- The program lasts about 4 months (68 classroom hours, 204 lab hours - 272 hours total)
- Classes meet from 6-8pm each Monday and Wednesday for four hours in the evening per week
- Students are expected to spend a minimum of 12 hours per week working on-line outside the classroom
- Successful graduates receive a beautifully framed University of Miami Paralegal Certificate
Coral Gables Weekend Program:
- The program lasts about 4 months (68 classroom hours, 204 lab hours - 272 hours total)
- Classes meet from 10 a.m. till 3 p.m. each Saturday or four hours in the evenings per week
- Students are expected to spend a minimum of 12 hours per week working on-line outside the classroom
- Successful graduates receive a beautifully framed University of Miami Paralegal Certificate
Broward Evening Program:
- The program lasts about 4 months (68 classroom hours, 204 lab hours - 272 hours total)
- Classes meet from 6-8pm each Monday and Wednesday for four hours in the evening per week
- Students are expected to spend a minimum of 12 hours per week working on-line outside the classroom
- Successful graduates receive a beautifully framed University of Miami Paralegal Certificate
On-Line Paralegal versions of the program are also available in English and in Spanish.
