Through actual cases, the course presents legal and ethical issues related to transfusion of blood and its components, directed donations, family donations, autologous deposits, release of infectious disease testing results to family members and patients. Based on legal and ethical standards, the students will analyze these cases and submit their conclusions and recommendations of possible actions and policy changes for group discussion.
