The focus of Pre-Law Reading, Writing & Research Skills is on the critical reading, research, and writing skills necessary for success in Law School. In this 54-hour, 6-week course, students will analyze and evaluate articles on legal topics of interest from current newspapers and popular journals. As reading and writing are essential components of Law School education in the United States, a major goal of this course is for students to improve their comprehension and analysis of articles and essays about legal issues. The course will emphasize research (electronic and traditional), developing, composing, and editing essays and reports incorporating critical-thinking skills. Small class size allows for students to work individually with the instructor throughout the course. This course has an online component.
