| The University of Miami in connection with Attorneys’ Title Insurance Fund, Inc. (The Fund) is proud to offer an advanced
paralegal certificate program in real estate closing procedures. Designed to
expand the pool of trained, qualified real estate paralegals, the program provides
hands-on training in real estate transactions. From contract to closing, students
will learn the ins and outs of real estate closings - from basic residential
deals to complex commercial transactions. Students will familiarize themselves
with the real estate contract, understand title insurance (including homestead
concepts), learn basic title examination as well as master the transactions and
procedures to prepare and close various real property transactions.
Working in the University of Miami’s state-of-the-art computer labs,
students receive concentrated, highly practical instruction from leading real
estate attorneys and Fund lab trainers. Using The Fund’s ATIDS® System
to search title information and The Fund’s DoubleTime® and ProPel® programs
to prepare closing documents, students will become skilled real estate paralegals
irrespective of the software or underwriter employed. Upon completion, students
will be awarded a University of Miami/Fund Certificate in Real Estate Closing
Procedures.
