Since the process is developmental, dynamic and ongoing, it requires self-assessment and a commitment to take action and achieve results.

The objectives of the workshop are:

  2. Identify the role of the individual
  3. Provide resources for establishing policies and procedures that reflect diversity of client base
  4. Develop skills for interacting and communicating among different people
  5. Discover how cultural competency can improve your overall business strategy

  1. Build strong “global” relationships and recognize boundaries
  2. Enhance business results and reputation through “levels of action” in a strategic culturally aware systems approach
  3. Identify work contexts, stereotypes, perceptions, barriers, and cultural subtleties and cues
  4. Negotiate more than one culture
    • close the gap between “knowing” and “doing”
    • Illustrate important differences among cultures/individuals
  5. Improve communication despite accent and language barriers
  6. Provide more effective motivation of your work-group
    • Open mind to alternative view points and work styles
  7. Promote better understanding of presentation styles, behaviors, and language facility
  8. Establish synchronization in the workplace through an understanding of perspectives
  9. Reduce likelihood for lawsuits stemming from inequitable treatment
